Dr. Debbie Kupolati is a registered Nutritionist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa and holds a Doctoral degree in Nutrition with a specialty in Nutrition Education. She is passionate about improving people’s health through nutrition education, intervention, and research. In 2018, Dr. Kupolati in conjunction with colleagues, founded Well Being Africa (an NGO) to advance the cause of impacting society with their expertise. She has been involved with several nutrition projects aimed at improving the nutritional health of people Dr. Kupolati has over ten year’s laboratory experience in micro-propagation of food crops to address food insecurity before her career in Nutrition in 2010. She developed a set of nutrition education materials titled “Conceptual Nutrition Education Manual for Teachers” for the effective teaching of nutrition in primary schools. She has substantially contributed to the body of knowledge in nutrition research and practice through peer-reviewed journal publications and national and international conference presentations.
